Anyone watch this show? I got into it last year and I really think it's something. I just learned today that the new season is coming in just one week, so I thought I'd throw out another under-watched show for people to check out.

Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in this world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

AMC is apparently running a marathon of the first season on March 5th (I think), so it would be easy to catch up since it was only like seven episodes. Here's a season one recap/trailer:

Incidentally, anyone know what song they used in that video?

I actually started watching this a few weeks ago. I still haven't watched the last two episodes, but I think the show is really great. I will definitely be tuning in for season 2.

This show is one of my favourite. Definitely watching season two.

I wish I knew what that song was too. It sounds familiar. If you figure it out Sway, let me know too.

So how are you guys enjoying Season 2 so far? I personally loved Season 1 and think that it's even better now. Walter White FTW!

I watched the first episode and needed to see more so bad that I got the leaked second and third episode and watched them too. So now I have to wait another couple weeks for new stuff because I needed instant gratification. :(

This season rocks so far. Really intense and things are developing fast.

I actually hadn't heard of it before they announced season two recently, but it does look really interesting. I just might watch that marathon. c:

Might be a little late on that one, but if you can find a way to watch it definitely do. It's incredible.

Yeah, had a brain fart there. Once again proving why I shouldn't stay up past 10. :P

Last nights episode was kind of meh. But then again, you're not going to get as amazing an episode as the first three were every time. I liked the beginning part though, before the opening sequence. Really looking forward to seeing what happens in regards to all those evidence bags.

So yeah, episodes three and four actually were kind of mediocre, but since then it's been awesome. The thing with
Spoiler
was amazing and totally took me by surprise, as did the
Spoiler
earlier (well, I wasn't surprised because it was telegraphed like nuts, but it was awesome). Last night's episode was a really nice change of pace though -- something more funny than horrifying, and it rules that Bob Odenkirk is in the cast now.

Bob Odenkirk?! That JUST might make want to watch it, then.

You should watch it, Muzzy. It's so fucking tense sometimes I can't stand it, but all the dark humor moments are probably something you'd enjoy a lot. You're only like 14 eps behind, that's easily surmountable.

I dunno... Is Odenkirk playin' a humorous role, or is he playing the straight and serious lawyer?

I can't even BEGIN to imagine Bob Odenkirk in a 'serious' role.

Yeah, Odenkirk is definitely not playing a straight and serious lawyer. I'm so loving this season.
