Back on topic. I think doing a different game with sonic and mario would be better insted of having them go back to the olypics. Like have a super samsh bros type game but with sonic universe vs mario universe. I dont know but just doing the the same thing over again just seems like a bad idea.

I'd say if they were going for that kind of game specifically they'd have less of a chance to screw it up than, say, Sonic Unleashed. If they were to try to make Sonic 4 just like Capcom made Megaman 9 there wouldn't be a chance of Werehogs appearing in the game.

the thing about a sonic 4 is sega HAS to know there's quite a demand for it. But, they probly won't do it anyway becasue sonic's identitiy sits in the "Adventure" and SonicX series now...stupid kids lol.

Is Unleashed part of the Adventure series? I mean its Japanese title was "Sonic World Adventure".....

How could they not know? They kept advertising '06 as a game that'd "take Sonic back to his roots" and Unleashed as a game that'd be more like the older ones.

Sonic Unleashed was originally going to be called Sonic Adventure 3, but they scrapped that name and went with Unleashed. I'm glad they did too. Don't want this game tarnishing the Adventure name.

How about making a freaking sonic 4 for full retail.

think of it like this...

1.Make it similar to Street fighter iv in the 3-D but Plays like 2-D way.
2. Toss out any kind of story that is more complicated then "Sonic must defeat Robotnik before he destroys the world"
3. Drop the voice acting all together
4 Classic level design except sort of updated to take advantage of the 2.5-D
5. NO CAMERA DEATHS!!!!
6. you can throw supersonic in there I guess....but It would be cool to do it oldschool. have the special zones scattered throughout the level. yknow collect 50 rings, hit star post or Warpring...defeat special zone get choas emerald.

And seriously, do you honestly think Mario can beat Sonic in a race? The hedgehog that can run at speeds up to 300 miles per hour?

Since it's the winter games, I doubt there are any swimming style mini-games, but if there are, Mario would win over Sonic every single time.

I still never got how even Bowser was outrunning Sonic. Or anyone else for that matter. The only game where he showed any kind of speed was the second fight in Super Mario 64.

Kudos to the new guy for bringing us back on-topic. I agree, the logic of having foot races between the Mario universe and the Sonicverse doesn't make much sense. I guess they're expecting you to suspend disbelief about that sort of thing when you're playing a game based on the Olympics that involves a plumber competing against a blue hedgehog.
