Character Development

Backstory: Sabata's place of birth is unknown, in fact nobody knows if he was born or created. He was given the power of Dark Doom, similar to how Shadow was, but Sabata's is more corrupted and actually pure darkness. Sabata originally had white fur, but the darkness corrupted him and changed even his fur color. He lives currently in Knothole. He is an extremely effective thief due to his abilities, and live on what he can steal. His usually way is either picking someones pocket and using the money to buy some food, or directly stealing from a shop. He's only been caught once, and that was when he tripped. Sabata to this day is completely aware of his surroundings during a get away.

Personality: Cocky, conceited, mocking, a jerk, though can be a bit sensitive.

Example post: Sabata was sitting alone, watching people pass by. He would occasionally slip his hand into someones pocket, pulling out a bit of loose change. He would slip that into his boot afterwards. Sabata counted the ammount of money he has and decides to go get his favorite snack, cherries. Sabata sneaks over to a shop and picks out a bag, buying it. Sabata had some money left over which went back into his boot. Sabata snickered with a smirk as he saw some change fall to the ground. He quickly plucked that up without a moments notice. "Easy pickings today, I wonder why." Sabata snickers, plopping a cherry into his mouth and spitting out the pit. He walks out of the store and decides to go back to his house, slinking in and sitting down. He had had an easy day.

OK, glad to see you read about the system. Few problems that will require some thought on your part, but you actually don't have too much work to do.

For one thing, vehicles (like air boards) take up slots, so you can read the vehicles pinned topic to learn all about the stat placement for them. This, of course, also means you would have to get rid of one of your current slots so you'd better take your time and think it out carefully.

All of your slots need values as to what they do. A pistol can be read about how to set up in the weapons topic, but the basic gist is that you get ten points to divide among offensive strength, ammo, and special skills. Each skill costs two points, and each point in ammo gives you three shots, easy.

The other three skills don't have a set outline as to how they're going to work, so this is where you get to go wild with your costs and effects. How does shadow dash work? Does it cost agility? Does it mean your opponent would need extra agility to doge your next attack? Or does it mean that you can get away from your enemies quickly and without them knowing?

How about Dark Warp? It's either going to cost Agility, Vitality, or some combination of the two. Does it go through solid objects? Does he need to see what he's warping to to go there, or does it work independent of senses?

With the Black Hole, it's going to need a cost of some sort, and then how much will be needed to dodge or block the technique.

To help you get some ideas you can look through all the approved character topics. I'd recommend clicking on the names at the in the RP goers signatures as those are all approved characters of theirs.

It looks a lot better, just a couple of things though. One is that you've got 5 agility is fine for the dash, but vitality is a much more precious stat so you probably don't need to use 5. Pyro would need to verify this, but since it's only ten feet, I bet 3 points would probably be good.

The other thing is the vehicle needs stats, kind of like a weapon. I'll just quote the topic here so you don't have to go over to it.

Quote

Building a vehicle

When making a vehicle, you are allowed 20 points to allocate to the following stats:

Speed: The vehicle's top speed and acceleration. When stopped, this stat completely recovers.

Fuel efficiency: How long the vehicle can travel for until it has to be stopped and refueled. For every point put into this stat, you get 3 fuel efficiency (example: put 3 points into it and you have 9 fuel efficiency.) To be expressed like an enhancer is (1(3)).

Durability: How much damage a vehicle can take before breaking. Keep in mind that vehicles only take half as much damage from all attacks except for explosions from which they take normal damage.

You must also say what the vehicle travels on. You may choose from Land, Water (surface), Water (submersible), or Air (flight). Regardless of how a vehicle is propelled or what it travels on, each post in which the vehicle is on and moving consumes 3 fuel efficiency points.

Vehicles can also have certain abilities by default (automatically). They are as follows:

Speed Boost: At the cost of Speed points, a character may give their vehicle a sudden boost of speed equal to 10 MPH for every 1 point of speed spent. Example: want to accelerate suddenly by about 30 MPH? Spending 3 Speed points on this ability should do it.

Emergency Brake: Brings the vehicle to a sudden, screeching halt. The vehicle stops moving completely, but recovers all of its Speed points.

Other than these default abilities, players can buy these special abilities for their vehicle for 2 points each.

Nitro Boost: Accelerate 20 MPH for every 1 Speed and 1 Fuel Efficiency spent on this ability.

Transformation: Changes the vehicle into another kind of vehicle. Stats stay the same, but it can be used to travel in a new way. Example: Changing a motorcycle into a one man airplane takes your vehicle off the road and allows it to travel in Air instead of on Land until you change it back.

Armored: Vehicle takes half damage from Explosives.

Puncture-proof: Can only be used on Land vehicles. No matter what the terrain or what traps are thrown under the wheels, the tires cannot be pierced or punctured. They can still be destroyed in other ways, but you can drive over a spike strip and keep going.

Hybrid: Save money and time on expensive gas at the pumps. Your vehicle only spends 2 points of Fuel Efficiency for each post.

[SUM UP FOR MAKING VEHICLES]
20 points to allocate amongst the following.

Vehicle type: (land, air, water surface, or submersible)
Speed:
Fuel Efficiency:
Durability:
Special abilities:

Fix this stuff and I'll clean the rest up for you.

The ability Nitro Boost actually costs two stat points, leaving you with 18, not 20. I must say that I am glad that you read the system though. You wouldn't believe how many don't, or just skim over the first page, find the template, and think they know it all.

OK, it's looking good now, but I'm pretty sure Pyroman doesn't want me approving characters now that he's back so we'll just have to wait until he looks at it.
