You may not get email notifications from the forum about new posts, private messages, etc - assuming you have those account options enabled.

I'm reconfiguring some things for more better awesomeness, but with more better awesome there is always a downside! In this case.. configuration complications. So no, you're not going crazy if you thought you were, you're just not going to be getting any email from the board until I post an update saying the configuration is no longer suck.

This doesn't effect any other sites hosted on our server.

Righto, emails are being sent out again. For now email will be sent from the email address mailer@ourdomain. In future (by the end of the month), this will be changed to noreply@ourdomain or services@ourdomain depending where the email is being sent from. Just an FYI in case anyone likes to set up email filters for incoming mail.

( Where "ourdomain" is sonic-online.com - just in case anyone's too simple to work that out. )

Well, we're using an external server for incoming and outgoing mail now. But email were still being sent from this server for the forum, meaning the IP wouldn't match the SPF record, and increase the likeliness of whatever is being sent getting marked as spam.

The external server needs connected to via SSL and I'd compiled php without open ssl. That about wraps it up!
