Amy Rose ran after her one and only love, Sonic The Hedgehog, with the energy of a roadrunner. Although Sonic had always been able to be just a step ahead of her, she knew that eventually all her work would pay off, and Sonic would finally see her the way she sees him.
"You can't run forever, Sonic!", the pink Hedgehog said as she chased her blue love along a sandy stretch of beach.
"You just won't give up, will you Amy.", Sonic stated as he continued his pace, just ahead of the love-blind girl. In the next moment, Sonic spotted a large, dark mansion, and eerily, the sky went black as rain began to fall and lighting crackled in the sky.
Perhaps I can lose he if I cut through the house, Sonic thought as he ran into the large mansion, and Amy followed suit.
Nearby, in the pouring rain and raging thunder, a pool of dark ichor appeared like a rift in the ground. Then, an artificial plastic hand, shaped like that of a child, appeared from its depths, along with a devilish cackle that accompanied it.
Meanwhile, Sonic was already out of the house, and he expected that Amy would get lost for awhile, but hopefully would give up chasing him and go home.
Its not that I don't like her.....in fact...I care about her a lot, the Hedgehog thought to himself as he lay in the shelter of an alcove , waiting for the rain to settle. I'm just not ready for the whole marriage thing yet. Anyways, the last thing I want is for Amy to get hurt, cause Eggman would easily kidnap her just to get to me.
Amy Rose walked along the creaky floor of the dilapidated mansion. She was a little scared, partly because of a partial fear of the dark and of the fact she might have lost Sonic. The young girl called out his name, but got no answer.
Above,a sinister form could be seen in the higher shelves and bookcases that lay empty. It was a doll, but more precisely, it was a doll that was a killer. Charles Lee Ray was his name, and he was known far and wide by the nickname Chucky. Killing was his pastime, and his weapon of choice, the butcher knife, gave his victim's a painful end.
"Need something to kill. After being trapped with all those freaks and monsters, I miss the good old victim-hunting days." The demonic toy said to himself as he crept above.
Amy entered the room that the doll hid in, still searching for her beloved, unaware of the danger that lie ahead. Oooo, a victim, Charles Lee Ray thought as he looked down upon the pink hedgehog. His unnatural eyes glinted with evil, and he moved over to an area where he could surprise her.
Amy continued to call for Sonic, and unknown to her, a little evil waited above, for the right moment to strike. Butcher knife in hand, Chucky jumped down upon the hedgehog as she stopped to look up, her scream echoing in the night as Chucky merely laughed and continued his bloody work.
It had been over an hour, and Sonic had not seen Amy exit the house. Worry gripping him, Sonic ran inside, only to find Amy Rose lying on the ground.
"Ok Amy. I'm sorry, now stop crying and get up." Sonic waited for a response, but got none. As he approached, the horror struck him. No. Amy Rose lay in an almost petrified state on the floor, her eyes still wide open and staring onward. On her back lay 3 large knife wounds, and blood had pooled around her. Sonic could not believe his eyes. He caressed Amy as she lay, telling her to wake up, trying everything he could, but he knew she was gone.
"Sorry bucko. Needed to slay someone.", said a voice behind him, none other than Chucky. Sonic merely turned around as he listened to the killer's words. "You should have seen the look on her face as I stabbed her. It was picture perfect.",
Chucky said as he wiped his knife clean of blood. "She kept screaming, "Sonic! Sonic! Help me, Sonic!"", the whole fricking time, but eventually, she shut up." "So bucko", Chucky said as he raised his knife to a emotionless Sonic, who had his head down, "Ready to join her?"
Charles Lee Ray's knife came down, but Sonic's hand grabbed his with unfathomable speed. A golden glow began to engulf the hedgehog, as Chucky looked on in surprise.
"How...DARE YOU!", Sonic roared as the blast of energy that made him Super Sonic sent Chucky flying straight through the mansion's wall and into the rain outside. Sonic glowed with fire and anger, as he flew out into the rain, Chucky on the ground, the devilish smile wiped off his face. The hedgehog wasted no time, picking up Chucky with one hand and repeatedly beating him with the other. Every punch cracked against the doll's face, and he wore a look of agony as Sonic released his fury. Finally, Sonic threw Chucky aside like the rag doll he was, and waited for a response. In his agony and pain, Charles Lee Ray could faintly see the pool of ichor he came through closing, and quickly, jumped back through.
Its not worth it here..... were his last words before he disappeared.
Sonic had Amy in his lap, still caressing her dead form, tears streaming down his face as he thought of her in life. "Amy, I should have told you ages ago. Funny right, me running from you all this time. I was afraid, not ready to be with you, let alone marry you. But I wish I hadn't been so cold to you, or hurtful, because I love you more than anything in the world. I love you....", were his words as he wept. Then, a glow of light began to shine around Amy, like a halo, and Sonic could see an amazing thing happen. As he watched, her wounds appeared to close, the blood around her pulling back into her, even her clothes mending back together. Then, she blinked, and looked directly at Sonic as she got up.
"Sonic..."
"Amy....you're.....alive...."
"I was dead?"
"It doesn't matter what you were. What matters is your alive."
"You're.... holding my hand Sonic."
"Amy....I love you."
"Sonic...."
In that instant, Sonic drew close, kissing an awestruck Amy Rose. Amy merely blushed as she returned his kiss, and as the pair embraced, the sky had cleared, and the sun shone brightly above.
