So, I just got the newest NP issue, and in it they interview Goichi Suda. This time he's only doing the writing, not the directing, and the assistant director of the original is the head director now. He also said how he got the name Desperate Struggle. The subtitle is shito in Japan, which literally translates to something along the lines of Death Fight. While looking up English translations for it on the internet, it came up with Desperate Struggle which he then passed on to the public relations director, and she really liked it.

Pretty weird, eh? But I do like the name. He also stated in the interview that they're basing a lot of their engine tweaks on *gasp* letters from the fans. He talked about how he got a lot of comments on the 'open world' and the Wiimote controls, so that's what he's trying his hardest to improve right now.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm missing some all important truth in the world. At that point I usually grab some chips and watch the people who have apparently found it tear each other apart in the super market over the now last bag of chips...

Because most fans of things tend to be very stupid and give some of the worst suggestions.

But then again, I don't even know what suggestions were accepted by the guys and which were thrown out. Hopefully, I'm wrong about them receiving bad ideas and using them.

I think those suggested tweaks will likely be revolved around better camera angles, more funcionality with motion controls, etc. Nothing radical or retarded.

Suda's been pretty busy lately, it seems. There's also a fairly lengthy interview with him in the latest EGM, where he talks about his company, the various projects he's working on, and his creative process when it comes to game design. My favorite quote of his from the interview: "Well, in all honesty, I don't look to other games for inspiration regardless of their origins. ... When I start creating games, I find myself inspired by movies, music, television, or porn."

Uh, I thought that was established that it was gonna come out in January 2010 when the game was first announced. It's nice to know just exactly what day of the month it'll be coming out, though.

Anyway, just in case you, or anyone else, didn't know about any of this yet, here's a link to a list of even more awesome shit to come in the game:

My friend is fucking awesome for sending me this new trailer:

http://wii.ign.com/d...iler_90309.html

I think I'm gonna watch that shit again... I really do. I'm physically and mentally required to go and watch that shit again!

Also, I thought Japan wasn't getting this game. What the fuck?

Is this the video your talking about? The one you posted leads to a blank page, for me anyway.

Huh? Why is it suddenly doing that now? When I tested the link yesterday, it was working fine. I copied and pasted my post directly from the PA forums and it's still working over there.

Anyway, yeah, that's the video I'm talking about.

You pasted the shortened version of the address with part of the URL missing. Way to use the internet QM!!!!! (<- psst this is sarcasm!)

Bitchin' mad awesome preview, though. The best thing I can think to say about this game is that it looks like a worthy successor to the original NMH. New features like the improved controls, the oldschool 2D "job" minigames, and more playable characters are sweet additions to a game that was already a must-buy for me. Day one, folks.

Two days ago... Two days ago is how long ago I told my friend I'd go looking for that PAX '09 10 minute gameplay video... Man, I am fucking stupid. I should've done that the second I said I would!

This shit, as expected, is awesome! Also, the pre-boss battle scene was on a whole new level of hilarity.

Looks like great fun. Didn't know you could change swords while your playing a level. The battery meter looks really odd though.

No More Heroes 1.5

This shit needs to get dubbed, subbed or, at the very least, an English transcript because it looks awesome as hell.

I was wondering what happened to Lovikov. Nice to see that he managed to kick some ass before kicking the bucket.
