Man, that's some pretty oldschool crazy... Actually, as insane as that seems, hyper-religious "Pokemon = Satan" websites like that were a dime a dozen back when Pokemon was at the height of its popularity. Something about their children being interested in something besides going to church and feeling shame made a lot of parents think their offspring had been possessed by demons.

I'm under the impression 'they' don't like Pokemon because the Trading cards are a little too much like gambling. Maybe get something good, maybe get something bad...

I haven't bothered reading this article yet. I might do so in a few minutes. I remember when I was younger (like, in the 3rd grade), my friend's dad, who is a preacher, was going on about how Pokemon was demonic. I only knew about this because my friend told me about it when it was happening. These days, my friend (and probably his father; I don't know) realizes that it was just something that was popular with the kids back then.

Hey I'm Christian as well! But, I am incapable of butthurt, so I am an anomaly. But seriously, some of the evangelicals say. I think they are just getting lonely so they need to organize groups. It doesn't matter what the thing is, it just matters that they can hate it together.

I finally read the article (while playin Diamond version, ironically) and when I got done laughing, I decided that it deserved a post.

I am Christian, and I cannot express how retarded and useless that article was. Bullshit like that is why people just dont respect or even like the christian community. Im certain Jesus is shaking his head in shame at these morons.

I remember they said the same thing about HE-MAN, THUNDERCATS, SMURFS, and various other things back in the 80's--early 90's. Pretty much any cartoon that was popular at the time. It was mostly because the Bad guy was a sorcerer or they had supposed Satanic imagery or whatever. Some of them even think Harry Potter is evil because it supposedly teaches Children Wizardry. A lot of them think that ALL "japanimation" is pornographic too. It's just basic ignorance.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was written by a christian man, as was Narnia... No one Slams those for having magic in them...
