We're really starting to tire of a bunch of retarded polls like "Hey, who is better? Sonic, Shadow, or Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich?" coming from new members. Frequently I see useless surveys over things no one cares about or are so poorly constructed that it might as well be from USA Today. Often polls are added to topics that don't need polls. It's just a mess. I'm not singling out anyone and I honestly am not keeping track of who is posting dumb polls, I just know it happens, and enough is enough.

Now, rather than just get rid of polls altogether, we've decided to disable them for the most frequent offenders, which are, of course, new members. So, sorry new members, but you have to stick around for a bit and figure out how we do here before you start spraying polls everywhere like ejaculate on a wall.

Well I like this new feature and it does eliminate alot of worthless topics we all know about. Also it gives I think it helps the member get a grasp of what we do here and give them a chance to learn what they need to know. As far as that goes, they grow with great knowledge and experience to make better topics near in the future. Great idea and I think its worth it.

I dont mind a few polls.....but when I made one I used all 15 entries to vote for....and I usually could have put more candidates in. The music one really got people talkin and I like to hear other peoples opinions. BUT, you shouldnt have to start a brand-fucking-new poll for every idea you have. GO SWAY! HEIL PIKACHU!

Good idea, but it would also be cool if you made it so that leveled members can have more slots on their polls than lower leveled members, that way...actually that would really suck. Nevermind, but still disabling polls to new members can only = good.

It stops the polls but still doesn't prevent them from asking the same question they would've done a poll on in the first place so this new rule isn't that effective...
