[Piper Egami]

Wow! It's been a while since I've been here! Well, I'm back. Hopefully for awhile. I initially thought I had lost my password (beyond retrieval) and tried logging in today. Got in first try. Anyway! I don't think I ever got around to posting my art. I've improved dramatically since my last visit. I'll just start with actual sonic-related things.


In the comics, Sally's brother, Prince Elias, takes the throne. I really love Elias - have since the issues in the seventy range.


This is my most recent - Elias and his wife, Meg, in a more realistic style. I think it's very sweet - and one of my few traditional pieces.


Er, this one's has a bit of a suggestive pose for me. I used a reference, and it's my first Photoshop-only work. Sally in Robotropolis.


Piper! My fursona. She's very dear to me and loves to infiltrate my art when I least suspect it. I like this picture a lot.

Since you went through the trouble of posting your artwork, I figure you deserve a little C&C.

- The first picture has a few glaring problems, largely in perspective and proportion. The limbs seem much longer in the forearm and thigh region sthan the arm and shin regions. Also, the background, throne, and characters seem presented at entirely different viewpoints, resulting in a disjointed look.

- The second piece is very well drawn, and the hand-colored look is very well done. Particular props on the hair. The main problem is that the kiss looks flat. They look like they're just pushing their faces together.

- The style and artistry are apparent in the third picture, and nicely done, but the wrist has major problems. Like her arm has three joints. And her left arm and hand seem nonexistant. In a pose like that, the other arm would appear near the end, and its looseness could've been used to accentuate the nature of the pose.

- Great job on the colors of the next picture, as well as the perspective, and the top half is very well drawn. However, her legs seem off, and don't seem to be the natural distance thet should be (unless she has a massively tall torso, which I doubt). Also, her waistline doesn't seem to be completely circular, but instead drawn as a semi-circle, with no back half. From the wait up, though, it's a fantastic picture.

- Fantastic showing on the last one, particularly in the use of Photoshop. Very nice. Bits of it seem a mite bit flat, but it's all very slight. Definately the best picture you showed.

Umm..I tried an animation the other day. It's by no means professional - just some slides made in Photoshop in about ten minutes.

Antoine is not impressed by this robot. We once had a discussion on another forum about pulling a 'Samurai Jack' in that horrible decapitations and violence is A-okay when it's done to robots.

So, I'm starting a comic. Based on Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic. I've never done one before - so I know the story might be a little hard to follow. (The first three pages are supposed to be a little confusing.) The name may change. I did all three of these pages today, and I'm kind of going on the fly. I've never done anything like this by myself, so I think it's nice to get into. I'm keeping OCs limited. But, as you can tell, I went back the Robotnik's old design. It's harder to draw, I think, but I just prefer it.
Sonic. He'll be there, but just not, you know..everywhere.

The name may change. I did three of these pages today, and I'm kind of going on the fly.

I'm not a huge fan of this page. But I got too far into to fix things that I wanted to without destroying it. I do like Elias in the second panel.

Taking a break from the comic for a day or so. I did this really quick in PS just now - I know the anatomy and whatnot is off, but I still like how it turned out.


I'm doing profiles of a lot of Archie Sonic characters/SatAM characters for reference and color palettes as I work on my comic. Expect a Sally and Bunnie soon.
