Another attempt at a Chaos Emerald hunting RP. Basically all I'm asking is that the character(s) you use are registered and that you read the rules.

RULES:

1) Up to two characters for each player. They don't need to be introduced at the same time.

2) If/When a character's Vitality reaches zero, the character is knocked unconscious for a while. They can get back up after either an hour (RP time) or five posts at half Vitality (round up if Vitality is an odd number).

3) Spelling/grammar check is your best friend ever. If I see a post that I can't read without a translator or spell checking it myself, I'm going to ask you retype it. If anything is in chat speak, I'm deleting it and finding a way to smack you from across the internet (joking, calm down).

4) Remember to keep your characters in character. Not everyone is going to get along and conversely, not everyone is going to want to fight each other without a good reason.

Also, check the story.

STORY:

Station Square Times

ECCENTRIC BILLIONAIRE PROMISES BIG MONEY FOR LEGENDARY GEMS

Yesterday afternoon, a strange broadcast replaced the usual news reports. A mysterious figure who claimed to be a billionaire that simply called him self, “Mr. E” informed viewers all over our fair city of Station Square that he would award them with anything their hearts desired if they brought him a special set of gem stones. For those of you who haven’t guessed it yet, these stones are the very same that have been hunted down by archaeologists, mad men and heroes alike; the Chaos Emeralds. Now while all of you idiots take the time to read this news report, I’ll be out looking for them because I’ve got some bills to pay. SUCKERS!

All I ask is that you don't post rapid-fire like a lot of folks tend to do when online at the same time. I guess there no real limit to posting, just don't post within, like, fifteen minutes of your last post.

I'll start this thing off, people can join as they see fit.

Rave sat on a park bench occasionally tapping his foot. He looked at the nearby fountain and let out a sigh. "Damn it..." he mumbled, "Where is she?"

From behind him, a pair of hands covered his eyes. "Guess who," said a cheery female voice. "Op, you know I hate these kiddy games," Rave told his partner in crime, "now get your hands off my face so we can leave."

Op took her hands off of Rave as he stood up, complaining, "you're such a buzzkill. I go out and get some juicy information for us and all you can do is try to rush us out of here?"

Rave turned to Op puzzled and asked, "What kind of information?"

Op just smiled and handed Rave a newspaper clipping, telling him, "See for yourself. We're going after the Chaos Emeralds!"

[NiGHTS Noob]

"You know business has been kind of dry lately." Stomp thought to himself as he rode along the Station Square streets on his Ducati. "We're starting to run low on money, and I know they don't want to start looking for the emeralds unless it's official. But it's just so much money!" Stomp rode past the central park of the city and kept on moving. "I know! I'll just go and do it without them knowing!" Stomp hopped his bike up to a nearby convenience store to get a good look around. He stopped on his bike and started to gaze around his area seeing if he could see anything that could give him a clue.

Emerald locations! No character starts out knowing exactly where any of the emeralds are, so use your imagination and have your characters somehow find or figure it out.

red - Station Square Museum

blue - Under water near the beach near Station Square Hotel

green - Temple in the Mystic Ruins[/COLOR]

yellow - A vault in the basement of Station Square Casino

purple - Rebuilt GUN base on Prison Island

cyan (light blue)- Pyramids in the Desert

silver - Pumpkin Hills

Rave threw the paper aside and walked with Op out of the park. They reached Rave's motorcycle and got on, Rave in driver's position.

"Where should we start looking?" asked Rave as he turn on the vehicle.

Op held her partner tightly and told him, "Well, where do people usually find stuff as old as the Chaos Emeralds?"

The red hedgehog smiled and told her, "I've heard of a place called the Mystic Ruins. We'll check there first."

With that, the two of them went driving through the city streets, towards the highway.

[NiGHTS Noob]

Stomp couldn't see anything as he looked around, "Okay, now let's think. I don't know where the emeralds are, but maybe if I find someone who knows where they generally show up I might find some places to check. Now who would know? Someone on the black market might, or maybe a museum curator." Stomp got back onto his bike and started heading over towards the nearest black market hot spot, which was coincidentally, only a block away from the Station Square Museum.

White Heart frowned as he stared at the poster.

"Well." He muttered "This could work. Rust may have put us on hold, but that dosen't mean I can't do something for the group." He threw aside the paper and frowned

"Now. Where would an emerald be hiding..." He looked up gazing at a massive poster of Sonic, scowling, he turned away, and gazed at the Station Square Hotel. He sighed

"Might as well check in. I may be here for a while..."

Rave and Op eventually got onto the highway and drove at high speeds until they came to a sign that read, "Mystic Ruins, next exit." Both teens were excited to see what was in the ancient stone structures and turned at the next exit, going onto a dirt road that looked like it had been cut through the thick foliage surround it.

"Wow," Op whispered to herself, "This is a real jungle. I've never seen any place like this before."

"Sorry, babe," Rave shouted over the roar of his bike's engine, "Can't hear you over the bike."

"I said--" Op began before suddenly breaking off in mid sentence to scream, "Watch out!"

Rave looked back to the rough path ahead and stopped the bike immediately. The vehicle stopped moving just inches before smashing into a large stone pyramid. "Well," Rave chuckled as he turned off the engine of his motorcycle, "it looks like we're here."

I haven't updated Chaos Druid's bio to meet the new standards yet but I'd like to be in this RP. While CD's story probably won't change, I'm not sure if posting an introductory event in here before making a suitable bio would be in violation of the rules so I'll just stay out until I get around to updating the bio. Basically, this post is meant as a "save my seat" message.

"WHAT?" White Heart exclaimed "$300 just to stay here?"

"Yeah. This is a very expensive hotel." White Heart walked away grumbling, then watched as a family of four walked in

"How much to stay 3 nights?" The father asked, and the clerk replied

"$160" White Heart's features twisted

"YOU RACIST!" he screeched, and stormed up to him, slipping a knife into his hand, when his emerald detector suddenly went off, he peered at it, then a grin spread over his face "Hey!" he called to the clerk "You do know that there's a Chaos Emerald somewhere in this building?" The clerk seemed a bit stunned, then lept up and ran to the elevator, White Heart sidled over and picked up a room key "Thank you..." He grinned, and walked outside to search for the emerald

"So do you guys know where I can find any chaos emeralds?" Stomp asked the thugs in the black market district. "Maybe, but it's gonna cost you something to refresh my memory a little." a doped up rat replied. "How's about I break your face! Is that payment enough for you?" "You'd think so, but only if you can actually manage to do it." Three thugs surrounded our lovable oversized Pangolin. They didn't seem to tough, more about intimidation than raw fighting skill. "Oh no you didn't." Stomp said as he pulled out his hammer, ready to beat any information he could out of the thugs.

Ok, seeing as we've come to a part of the game where someone's introduced some enemies, allow me to give them a few stats before you go off and kick the ever-loving crap out of them.

Rave and Op got off of the motorcycle and started walking around the pyramid temple, looking for a way in. Eventually, they came to an ancient doorway that lead to a long, dark hall.

"Creepy," Op stated, "you go first, Ravey."

rave started marching through the dim, dank corridor with Op a few feet behind him.eventually, the two of them came to a large chamber with a large statue in the middle of it. In the statue's hand was something giving off a green light.

"Ravey!" Op called out in excitement, "That must be one of the emeralds!"

"Yeah," Rave replied, "But how do we get up there?"

Op handed her chao doll to Rave and told him, "Just leave it to me," as she prepared to climb and jump her way up the statue ((Difficulty: 10 Agility)).

Stomp turned and shifted his weight onto his left foot and let out a mighty roar as he swung his hammer around at the middle thug (6+4=10*2=20, 14 strength). The thug went flying backwards into the doped rat, knocking the first out, and trapping the other beneath him. The other two thugs each launched attacks at Stomp. The one on his left came rushing up with his fists (3, 7 strength) and the other pulled out a small knife and tossed it directly at Stomp (3+2=6, 8 agility). Stomp moved backwards to avoid the punch (4-3=1 agility) and pulled up his arm to bounce the knife off (14-6=8 strength). Stomp leaped forward at the one who had attempted to punch him and brought his hammer around intensely (6+4=10*2=20, 4 strength). The rat attempted to dodge to his left, but the hammer still managed to hit his leg, causing him to fly into the wall, knocking him out. The final thug, a gray and skinny wolf pulled out another knife and ran towards Stomp (3+4=7, 6 strength). Stomp took the hit directly, piercing his side (18-7=11 vitality). He came around with yet another powerful swing (6+4=10*2=20, 0 strength), and struck it right into the thug who was attempting to block. It did little good, and the thug went back into the wall. Stomp turned over to the rat just starting to crawl out from under the first thug he had knocked out. Stomp walked over to him, forcing himself to not breath heavily, "So are you gonna tell me about these emeralds?"

In case that was confusing, here's Stomp's stats:
Strength- 0/18
Agility- 1/4
Vitality- 11/18
So he's pretty beat right now, but with a three on one it's pretty amazing.

White Heart groaned. Ever since the battle him, Rust, and Prime had fought against some G.U.N defects here, it was common knowlege that he and Rust where Black Arms, and therefore, so was Prime, by extension. He had recived a lot of dirty looks since he walked onto emerald beach, and therefore had retreated to some of the islands to scan for the Chaos energy.

"Damm it." he muttered "It's like the source is moving..." He looked at all the rocks surrounding him, and squeezed through, heading down to the water and wading in "Maybe I can get a better signal here..." He trailed off, the signal was still moving, but it seemed to be coming right at him! He cursed and lept backwards onto land, and saw nearby and Killer Whale emerge from the water, the signal suddenly got a lot stronger

"Dang." he muttered "Something's got it out for me..."

[Pyroman]

Op jumped and climbed her way up the statue ((28-10= 18 agility remaining)) until she reached the giant idol's hand. Grabbing the emerald and giving it a hard pull, Op collected the shining Gem and waved to Rave. "Got it!" She called out, her voice echoing through the empty corridors, "Now catch me!"

With that, Op leaped from the statue and Rave dropped her doll, scrambling to a position that he could catch her from. When she hit his arms, Rave immediately collapsed onto his back from the impact ((15 Vitality-3 damage=12 remaining Vitality)). "Op," Rave said, "Get off."

The purple hedgehog stood up and helped her boyfriend to his feet before picking up her chao doll again. "Want to get going?" She asked.

Suddenly, the room began to shake and the entrances were sealed off by falling rocks. The only light left was being emitted from the emerald, but with it they could see the colossal statue moving towards them.

"Oh crap!" Both thieves shouted in chorus.

"All right, I'll talk." The rat said with great fright in his voice. "We've got word of one in the museum around here's and we was fixing to take it. Gonna break in tonight, so you might want to get in there first. After that, I know there's one on the prison base in GUN's rebuilt fortress. Also, there's been rumors goin 'round about one in the Mystic Ruins somewheres." "I guess I'll just head over to the museum like I was going to before, thanks for the info." Stomp said as he hopped on his bike right outside the alley and started heading over towards the museum.

Thunder gazed at Station Squarel. "My, my hunt for the emeralds is on agian! I can't belive that that was the reason they called me... I know it's an emergency but..." He sighed. He looked at the Mystic ruins one more time before launching down the side of the mountain.

(OOC) In case your wondering Thunder was looking down a mountain at Station Square. Just to clear up on any miss-ideas...
