Hello all, this is Pyro (duh). I have noticed that nearly all of the RP characters here are created with one big thing in mind:

Combat.

Yes, we all love a good scrap in our RPs, but how much is too much? It seems like most of the time, the story in an RP takes a back seat to the fighting. It's a shame really, because we could actually have some decent stories around here.

So, for the sake of the stories around here, I have decided to make a sort of RP battle arena where we can practice a different kind of fighting in our RPs. Most characters here seem to be specially trained and armed to the teeth with weapons. They also seem to have incredible strength and agility.

It is time to bring some balance in to the RP section.

(Rules:)

1) Fan characters only. Be creative.

2) Just make sure you follow the RP dos and don'ts as well as the RP suggestions.

3) Do not post more than once every day on this topic. It may be slower going, but it'll give us all a fair turn.

4) One character for each person

Here we go, post the following about your character, but keep in mind the limits I've set.

Weapons: No guns, explosives, or other modern military grade weapons. up to two weapons for everyone, wielding a pair of identical weapons counts as the two.

Powers: Only two for each character. Nothing god like.

Special Technique: Can not have anything to do with the Chaos or Master Emeralds in any capacity. They must also have limits; no god like powers and anything that stretches/breaks the laws of physics is exhausting to use. Even if it's just a strong physical attack, it's still more draining on the user than a regular one.

Weaknesses: Must be an actual, serious character flaw and/or weakness. "Cares too much about so-and-so" doesn't cut it. Neither does something that is incredibly hard to come by (like a chaos emerald, magic, or a rare material).

Weapons: two, single handed axes made from scrap metal

Powers: High endurance, High pain tolerance

Special Technique: "Whirlwind Axes!", She performs a series of powerful, 360 degree spin attacks that are guaranteed to cut down most targets.

Weaknesses: Her bad attitude tends to force people away. Has serious anger issues.

(Setting:)

Neo City was once a shining metropolis, but since the Black Arms attacks two years ago, it has become a series of abandoned and/or damaged buildings. It has also become the site a monthly contest in which players search for rings that have been scattered around the ruined city. The winner gets a fabulous cash prize!

(Rules of the contest:)

1) One ring exists for each character in the contest.

2) Characters can work together, but must split the prize evenly if they win.

3) Characters must collect all the rings and deliver them to the center of town within the month (RP time), or nobody wins

4) Do whatever you can to get the rings. Even killing an opponent is perfectly legal in this competition!

Weapons: a dagger and extendable blades hidden in his gloves
Powers: mind speed. in an imediate danger, his mind speeds up, making the world around look slowed down. he can asses the situation quickley and try to work out his next move. incredably fast attacks against him still hit

Special Technique: speed move. useing a little know type of physics, razor and move at extream speeds, moving from one place to another in a blink of an eye. can only be used short range.

Weaknesses: he hates water and cant swim

Weapons: Two Crystal Blades

Powers: A very good swordsman

Special Technique: (LOL) Dual Slash, He attacks with both blades in extremely quick succession

Weaknesses: He get tired out pretty fast (e.g. he's exhausted after about, oh 6 minutes of combat

Weapons: None, but she does have a Faster Gear if that's okay.

Powers: Static EMP, Wall/Surface Run

Special Technique: Speed Burst (Like the Dashing move in the Rush games, but caused by electricity running around her instead of fire or a sonic boom)

Weaknesses: Short circuits and becomes sub-conscious in water where she cannot do anything but attempt to get out. Can't swim, period. Stubborn, Messy, and fear of foxes.

Ok, I'm asuming Faster Gear is like Extreme Gear. Correct me if I'm wrong. It should be ok.

Rust and Emma are approved.

It is an Extreme Gear, any character type can use it, it has five points in speed, but only one in control on a standard speed character. I like using it with Amy because she has slightly slower top speed than Sonic, but a little higher control, so she's still very controllable. The board is green and it hits 170- 180 mph on most characters.

Ok, we're all clear on the rules and we all have our characters. Remember, only one post per day for each person. Each character starts in a different place around the city. There are four rings to collect, but your character doesn't know where they are. These, however, are the locations:

1) In a fountain in the middle of the city's park.
2) On the top of Neo Tower, the tallest building in the city.
3) In the sewer sytem, just floating around.
4) (I'll reveal this location later.)

Feral wandered the city streets, outraged that her bike was sabotaged before the competition. Maybe she shouldn't have ticked off the best mechanic in her gang. She stopped walking for a moent and sat down on a bench.

"The money better be enough for a new bike..." she mumbled. Suddenly, the shine of something golden caught the corner of her eye. Looking to her left, Feral saw a tall building on the horizon, sonething on top of it was glitering. She smiled and got up, walking towards the source of the light.

Rust gazed around the city, then blew his breath out, he sighed, looking around above ground wasn't working, he glanced to the side and saw a sewer hole, he grinned, and walked towards it...

Riding into the city Static flipped up her two way radio and turned on it's satellite map feature. "I've got two options, head for the middle and spread out from there, or get to the highest building and use it as a vantage point." Thinking, Static weighed the pros and cons of each situation while blazing through the city at a pace causing visible wind streams. "If I'm on top of Neo Tower, I'll be able to see what the others are doing, and that might come in handy if one of them already has a ring."

Static turned to her left and hit a ramp of a 2x4, flying up into the air, Static landed on the roof of a convenience store and hopped off on the other side landing on a road leading directly to the tower.

Razor walked along the pavment. he was thinking of what to do. the ground was wet after the heavy rain from the past few days, he heard the rushing water in the sewers. he looked down a grate. the water was moving very fast, green froth was spraying all over the tunnle. then, he saw a golden glint move down at extream speeds. a ring. "you gotta be kidding me" said Razor, and he pulled up the grate and jumped down.

Rust clung to the pipes at the top of the sewer tunnel, muttering curses under his breath
"Why, why, why? Cats are afraid of water and the cat I happen to pick can control fire, so water holds double fear for this form, dammit!" His feet slipped, and where dangling above the water
"Well, this is inconvinent." He muttered, then saw a golden glint, speeding towards him.
"Okay, this could work..." He swung his feet up, caught the pipe ahead of him, swung down and grabbed the ring as it passed him, he started to swing up, and his feet slowly started to slip...
Rust plunged into the brown, mucky water...

[Pyroman]

Feral heard the sound of an airboard coming up behind her, turning around she saw someone riding along to road go right past her, toward the tower. "Damn!" she cursed as she started running after the extreme gear rider. Unfortunately for her, Feral was no where near as fast as the rider and was quickly left behind.

"I really need that new bike," she thought out loud as she punched a wall out of frustration. Turning to look across the street, she saw the entrance to a park. Thinking she could ambush the air rider on their return trip, she dashed into the overgrown area, frantically looking for a good hiding spot.

Razor belted down on the small pavement next to the rushing filth. he saw the ring suspended in mid air, held by what seemed to be a large, black cat. "not you again" said Razor. he then noticed the cat seemed to be in distress, doing it best not to fall in the water. this was a great opportunity. Razor walked up to Rust. "give me the ring, and i stop you from falling into the filthy, diseas ridden water"

((Rust is already in the 'Fility Desiesed water, he fell in on my last post, sorry dude, but I'll just ignore that, seeing as it completely contradicted my post.))

Rust surged upwards, coughing and spluttering, on the edges of the city, he looked at his body and cursed
"What did I do in a pervious life to deserve this crap?" He muttered, and looked down at the golden ring cluched in his hand "Well, at least I got this." He looked up at the sky "Better find somewhere to rest, night is falling, and I don't want to be blundering around in the dark..."

[NiGHTS Noob]

Due to tunnel vision all Static saw as she was riding on the extreme gear was the tower up ahead, she didn't notice she was passing another contestant on the way there, not even with her enhanced senses. Upon reaching the tower, Static leaped off her Gear and grabbed it with her left hand as she landed on the tower. Completely horizontal, Static began to run up it a maximum speed as she now noticed a gold sparkle near the top "Well that was easier than expected" Static said to herself, she tended to talk to herself a lot, but nobody really ever seemed to notice.

Razor pushed off the manhole. he pulled himself out of the sewer and looked around. "well, that was a wast of time" he said. he stumpled around in the dark, there were no lights to help him see and the clouds coverd the moon. he touched a wall, and used it to find his way around. he triped over something soft on the ground. "god damn it" he yelled, looking round at what had tripped him up. he saw a golden glow. "you again, i swear im gonna drown you in the sewers next time. hand over the ring"

Feral was waiting for the air rider to return, but quickly grew impatient. Looking to her right, she saw a path that lead to large fountain. "Might as well wash up," she said to herself, rubbing some dirt off of her face.

Jumping into the water, she saw a golden glitter. As she reached for it, she could see it was a ring. "Well I'll be damned," she thought aloud while grinning, "Step one on the path to victory!"

Climbing out of the water, she again hid in the bushes. "Step two will get here... when it gets here," she sighed.
