It's old news, in a way, but it's relevant since it comes out in fall of 2007. Anyway...

Spaceballs, the animated series!

Mel Brooks fans rejoice! Now I actually have a reason to watch that godforsaken G4...!

I never really cared for Spaceballs myself, but hey, an animated series could be interesting.

What is it that makes a complete stranger dive into an icy river to save a solid gold baby? Maybe we'll never know.

Arrested Development is enough reason to watch any network. Even something like Lifetime or Oxygen.

I dunno why it'd be on a channel like that though...

I still can't get into Arrested Development, no matter how hard I try...

I'm just hoping this new series will be good, though. But, with Mel Brooks being active at the helm (including writing the pilot), my hopes are high.

I'm going to keep my expectations low (I love Spaceballs, but I don't know how well the humor would transfer to a cartoon medium), but I'll still check it out. Mel Brooks has provided me with enough laughter over the years that I owe anything he does at least one viewing.

While the prospect of reviving Spaceballs in some fashion seems so great, it's only the first thought. The more I think about it, the more I doubt how good it will be. But hey, Mel Brooks is a genius, and he'll always get a few chances from me on any given endeavor.

Yeah, I never liked Arrested Development. In fact, that show is the reason I have a negative view of David Cross' humor; he was just one of many utterly unsatisfying humor bits in the show.

The AD thing was really just an off-the-cuff response. I didn't intend for it to receive any further discussion, nor should it, so let's just get back to Spaceballs.

I hope this is true and goes through. If Mel Brooks is at the helm, then it should be good. That man is brilliant!

Are you sure this cartoon isn't just Mel Brooks trying to make more money? The last thing I saw that involved him was the remake of The Producers, but I might be forgetting something.

Well, that is definitely a good possibility. I must admit that The Producers remake, was very funny. I was rather surprised to see that. I know that his wife, Anne Bancroft died a few years ago and I know they worked together on many projects.

I guess, we'll have to wait and see.
